About activities
Japanese class
We have a variety of activities in our Japanese class. We usually work in small groups.
We will chat about things you need in life in Japan and about yourself, and we will also support you in learning letters. We work to provide the support we can in accordance with the wishes of the client.
There are many teaching materials to help you with your activities, so even if you have just started volunteering in Japanese, you can get started right away.
When Japanese classes could not be held due to the coronavirus pandemic, we met online to maintain connections. Online activities also have a different kind of fun. And some people were able to participate because it was online.
Sometimes we all go out for a walk. When you go out together, you can discover many things and have a different kind of fun than usual. You can easily talk to people who you don't have many opportunities to talk to during classroom activities.

Extensive reading classes are held during summer vacation and other periods when Japanese language classes are closed. (Co-sponsored with Mito City International Exchange Association) There are many books written in Japanese for foreigners in the center's library. Everyone reads their favorite books. At the end, we all had a book talk. Today I would like to share with you the most interesting book.

This is a place for foreign mothers and fathers and Japanese mothers and fathers to exchange information and interact. We have fun chatting about raising children, hobbies, where we're from, and more. Sometimes we read letters from school, handouts, etc. together.
